Tom
Hi all,Both Harlequin ad JC Joel offer a printing onto dance floor service now. I'm looking at this an an alternative to painting. Has anybody done this and how was it. The image is full coverage rather than just a logo and I will be covering several strips (5mx5m total) and am wondering about how the edges will match up. Also - has anybody used any alternative printers to do this and if so who and how was that. Thanks. Tom
andy_s
This process was used for a floor on one of our productions a few years ago and as I recall there was a problem with the colour being a poor match to the original artwork, so I would advise getting a small sample done for colour matching approval first, if possible. It was a bit of a stress-point having to have the floor done again in tech week and more of a pain than having an emergency overnight paintcall. As far as the strip edges went, I think they matched up ok, it was just the colour.
Tom_M
Try Le Mark Group as they do printed floors In 2m wide strips for a lot of tours and tv studios. http://www.danceands.../printed-floors
kerry davies
I haven't really got a clue but Roustabout have a printer which does all sorts of pretty stuff on circus tent material so there must be something out there that will work. This is "The Carousel" but they also have a Forest scene and a Paisley one they printed up themselves.
