  1. Good morning, We sell and use the Stagecore headsets. They are a little more robust than the pulse ones. But at this price point you really get what you pay for.. https://www.fbtaudio.co.uk/stagecore/headsets-and-lavalier-microphones/head-worn/ Ian..
  2. Good afternoon, Having daily delivery's of all sorts of technical related equipment. I've just had a delivery of two replacement antenna's for a radio mic module. The box was 32x32x19cm. after discarding all the bubble wrap I was left with these. Not sure what was wrong with dropping them in a jiffy bag. Am I the only one that gets overkill packaging? Ian..
  3. Hi, Canford/Tec-pro/Metro audio headsets used to be manufactured by a company called MBQUART. The only reference I can find to them after some serious googling is :- https://www.german-maestro.de/Englisch/Products/Logic/Headsets/ Not sure if it's worth contacting them to see if you can get spares. Otherwise your going to have to pay the Canford price. I have several headsets here with stripped cables, but they still work. regards Ian..

Good afternoon, I have used a variation of these units when splitting mixer out feeds. They used to be red and branded studiospares own. https://www.studiospares.com/ls12-line-splitter-by-lambden-audio-458240.htm Ian...
  5. How about these:- https://www.canford.co.uk/CANFORD-UNIVERSAL-EXTRUDED-BOXES or slightly bigger https://www.canford.co.uk/CANFORD-EXTRUDED-BOXES Ian...
  6. Good morning, I'm looking for replacement runners for a very old curtain track. I don't think the track is Hall Stage. Could be Furze, anyone recognise it? Regards Ian..
  7. Hi Jon. Yes, definitely transmitting on those frequencies. I carry a small hand held scanner. I didn’t see the “MPT” type approval number on the transmitter packs. Amazon sell a set “A” and a set “B” the school bought two set “A” and wondered why they were getting interference. Ian. Ps on another note, when did you get rid of the Midas XL4?…
  8. Good afternoon, I Recently visited a school that had bought a 4-channel "Debra" beltpack radio mic system. They use the frequencies 501/511.5/524/538.5Mhz. According to some digging this frequency band is used for Maritime mobile and Aeronautical navigation (Radio Beacons). The Ofcom website says that SRD (Short range Devices) can be used in this band (ir2030). These devices have be be low power, although I can't find a reference to how low power. Someone did say that they fall under PMR (Personal Mobile Radio). The questions are Can they be used legally in the UK? As they fall out of the PMSE allocated frequencies, would four spot frequency licences be needed? Thank you in advance Ian. Link To system
  9. Good afternoon, I find that military bags work well. Especially those with "molle" fittings, that allow you to add extra pouches etc. Have had a Hazard 4 messenger of doom for about 5 years. Great laptop messenger bag. Worth a look at https://heinnie.com/ They do a good range of bags that are built to last and all the other bits you would need to equip a small army.. Ian
  10. Good afternoon, Give SSE (Solotech) a call in Redditch. They have a very good service department and are able to service most makes of digital desk https://www.solotech.com/uk/sse-audio +44 1527 528822 Ian....
  11. Good afternoon, Should be a standard T18 / T25 GCW GVH. If you google you should be able to locate dealers close to you. regards Ian
  12. Good afternoon, https://www.fbtaudio.co.uk/fbt-audio/install/speakers/passive/shadow/ Have seen these on a outside stage at a holiday camp. Sounded good. Ian
  13. I have to agree with Tony (Ynot) The headphone output is designed for heaphones and not ideal for a audio out. There are many tales of woe on here where people have managed to phantom power there laptop through the socket. With a laptop the repair is expensive, a MAC is very expensive I use a small Presonus 24c audio interface. sounds good and the headphone out goes up to "11" Ian..
  14. Good afternoon, I recently did a extended black top Sapphire Screen for a school chapel. I think it was a extra 1.5m. The delivery time on a slow boat from country of origin was 12 weeks.
  15. Hi, Once your rig is patched and working would you really need to soft patch it again? RDM is great, but you can always guarantee that one fitting won’t be compatible. I’ve had issues with a chilli rack running a old version of RDM. Every time the desk(flxs48) was turned on It found the dimmers and decided to re-patch them 24channels higher. Took a while to work that one out. If you have a look at the Artistic licence range. Have used them in the past with great success. Nice guys to deal with. My go to DMX splitter is the Luminex Lumisplit 2:10, but get the feeling this will be out of your price range Regards Ian..
