Brady Posted July 3, 2017 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Hi all total novice in this area and was wondering if people could advise. I have some knowledge when it comes to video but generally a novice. We are currently looking at the possibility of either purchasing or looking at a long term hire of some Large LED wall equipment and operation system. I current look after a tech theatre course and I see how important this area is to training these days. We may be able to tap into some funds to access this equipment if we can link it to widening participation and advertising for the performance school. We are proposing to pitch this as an opportunity to teach the students how to operate with this equipment and use it as an advertising tool as well. We have a large glass fronted building which we are proposing we could mount some screens on. The glass front is section in about 2.5m square windows and we would like to use some of it for screens. The dream is to make it look a little like a mini Piccadilly or time square (we like to dream). We would like to not only use them as advertising but to create some interesting installation projects with graphics and content. So flexibility and some good software to manipulate them would be useful. I have been given a very short window in which to form a pitch for this so any help would be great in regards to good companies to talk to, ball park figures I may be looking at and whether long term hire would be better than purchase. I realise you have probably sorted it out by now but if not, I own an LED wall that is p6 and I based in Yorkshire. Get in touch if you have a need for one in the future.
