  1. Unfortunately I did not have as much time to visit this stand as I would have like as I was busy on my own stand, however it was great to see all the equipment and have a quick chat about some of the items! Thanks for bringing it along
  2. Ohhh that's really interesting. I will pop over during the show to have a look
  3. I was in Dubai last week and was jumping between Du & Etisalat and I had the same message. It must be UAE network wide. Having spent a lot of time in the UAE over the last 10 years or so I have noticed this a lot and thought it both odd and interesting that they use the network name in this way
  4. As others have said, the CS is RGBL (or RGIL if you have a deep blue version). The only entertainment fixture (I'm ignoring daylight arrays and the architectural fixtures here) that is different is the Source 4WRD Color which uses RGBA
  5. Back in the day and prior to a couple of job changes I experienced these electricians too. To be fair I think most people involved anywhere close to education have though.... Anyway echoing comments above, on more than one occasion the company I worked for at the time was called in to re-fit 15A plugs (I am sure there was one school we had to go in 2 or 3 years running). I also believe that some of our invoices were also passed on to said electricians to pay back! For many of the schools we were able to set up a testing contract to PAT all of the production items as well as required electrical testing. I remember speaking to many schools about this though, whose attitude was its ok they don't need testing we only use them once a year, or they don't need testing as they are up high out of the way.... (this was the 90s though)
  6. This is quite interesting. I had not heard of these before.... or the building sign off process either. As Dubai is my second home when I can eventually get back I'm intrigued to look at this a bit more..
  7. Thats funny as thats probably how I lit my last show......
  8. It is Augment3d as you say, currently in closed Beta. I wouldn't want to be using this an automated follow spot. The Augmented Reality hardware (typically a phone or tablet) is just not accurate enough at this time.
  9. Viktor, I note you are in Dubai, I have demo stock of the above console in Dubai if you would like to try it. Thanks Mark
