Cable Burn In Device

burnin_ban.jpg

Some very interesting quotes (or facts???)

All cables will require a break in period, depending on the materials used this can take upwards of 400 hours with some types of cable.
For instance, very few people play their system loud enough to properly condition speaker cables, and phono cables will never completely burn in with the small signal from a phono cartridge.

and finally ....

The CABLE COOKER 3.0 uses a swept square wave which starts at 0 DC and is calibrated at just over 40KHz. This frequency sweep improves on every sonic parameter, translating into more transparency and dimensionality, a deeper/wider soundstage, and deeper/tighter bass information.

You send them your cable, then they burn it in, and return it!

Wow! I wonder if they really believe this rubbish and put them win the burner, or just stick them on the shelf for a week and return them knowing it's a scam?

For $452 you can have a 20ft XLR-XLR that has been cryo treated and for an extra $9 you can have it burnt in.

Sadly there will ALWAYS be some gullible shmuck somewhere with FAR more cash than brain celery who buys custom platinum plated speaker cables and some such at hundreds of $$ per metre so this sort of thing will of course appeal to that client base...

I can also condition the power cables with my specialist piece of equipment. Many people never load up their power circuits to a high enough level to fully condition the cable and align the copper molecules tightly. This can result in muddy sound as the power is not delivered efficiently enough to ensure peak power supply stability.

Our cable burn-in unit is available for hire and will condition each circuit in as little as a day by cycling a 3kW load on an off.

It may look a lot like a heater with our logo on the side but it's actually a precision built unit that we designed specifically for the purpose, and obviously an ordinary heater wouldn't work.

Cryogenic treatment followed by cable burn-in using a properly designed and calibrated instrument is the only way to do it if you want your audio to sound as good as it did in the studio. This aligns the sub-phase of the electrons in the copper atoms allowing perfect phase reproduction at all frequencies. If you omit the cryo procedure the atomic phase can remain random or semi-random resulting in blurring or smearing of the audio transmission.

I think I should go and find something useful to do now.

Once your cables have been thoroughly burned-n by Paul or Clive's devices, & then cryogenically treated (if done immediately after the burn-in it has much the same beneficial effect as CPR on humans) they will need a period of rest & relaxation, which can be conveniently provided by our latest product. This is a large hand-crafted metal box with every known male & female connector fitted. Each pin of every connector is hand-sealed with Araldite & all connectors are electrically isolated from each other. The box is hermitically sealed & filled with sound-deadening material & inert gas. Correct use of the box will prevent good karma from leaching out of the connectors of your cables or bad karma from getting in.

For best results the box & cables should be kept in a darkened room at approx. 20 deg C for a minimum of 7 days. Cables should be laid loose on good-quality duvet material from an expensive High-St store, with sufficient space for them to fully relax without the risk of contamination by contact with others.

Our product is fully guaranteed to be at least as effective as any other esoteric cable-conditioning device on the market.

Can I set up a cable cryo treatment in America? Just send them airmail both ways and they've been down to -30C for 6 hours in the freight hold.

My Nigerian office could do a three step process, Cryo on the way out, heat treat in the hangar waiting for the return trip/second cryo soak

How do you intend to remove the effects of equatorial transit & will you not need to re-align the cable at the point of use due to transit through the earth's magnetic field. Is there a need to ship in a shielded jiffy bag ?

New life for Tape bulk erasers ?

We had one installer who would inspect the cable to see whether he had the send or receive end and run it accordingly. I never got even the slightest clue what he was looking at.

TRS cable has "direction" - get it right and the lay of the cores will align with the terminals of a ceeform for male and female respectively.

A definite advantage with 4mm and higher gauges!
