Warehouse Assistant - 5 Month fixed term contract

About DM Audio
We are based in the Newhailes Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We provide technical production services, PA, backline and DJ equipment hire to events throughout Scotland and the North of England.

Job Description
Cleaning, testing & storing equipment.
Equipment maintenance including basic repairs.
Preparing equipment for hires.
Checking equipment against packing list on return to identify any shortages / damage
Loading and unloading vehicles.
Delivery and collection of equipment.
Basic vehicle maintenance including cleaning vans inside and out.
Taking telephone messages as required.
Cleaning and tidying the warehouse, loading and parking areas, ensuring a safe working environment compliant with Health and Safety regulations.
Other duties as required.

Ideal candidate
Hardworking, self-motivated and able to work on your own for periods of time but also enjoy working as part of a team.
Organised and methodical approach to tasks.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to work under time pressure.
Ability to be flexible in the hours / days worked during busy periods.
Full clean UK driving license. Our van insurance requires drivers to be aged 25 & over.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
Computer literate.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Some experience of sound / electrical equipment or warehousing would be advantageous, however training will be given to the successful candidate.

Salary
Dependent on experience.

Hours
Normally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9.30pm – 5.30pm, Thursday 1.30pm – 5.30 pm and Saturday 9.30am – 1.30pm. Some additional evening and weekend work may be required during busy periods.
