Polystyrene and Jesmonite

Hi all,

I've used Jesmonite before to coat polystyrene, but always from a stock. Now we are embarking on a build that will use a lot of Jesmonite coated polystyrene and need to know how much Jesmonite I will need to complete the project. The only coverage guidance I can find online is for using the fibre matting as well, but I've never needed this when making short run props, finding the Jesmonite alone plenty strong enough.

 

We are looking at 10 large words carved out of blocks that start at 2' x 4' x 4". Does anyone know whether I'll get them out of a standard 35kg kit?
