Hi

I have ordered quite a few things from them, and as yet (touch wood) have not had a problem. Obviously you do get what you pay for, but nothing has failed yet and their customer service I found to be very good.

Not exactly a disaster, but on a recent order they did fail to dispatch the right number of jack plugs on our order. We did send them an email which was ignored concerning this matter, yet decided it really wasn't worth the hassle to chase up for just one cheap connector!

Yes,

They failed to repair a Haze machine and an LED par after spending weeks with them and they sent me one part of my order but I am still waiting on the second part of it valuing to just over a 100 pounds despite the first half being delivered almost a month ago now and an email sent well over a week ago.

They also failed to answer the phone , twice.

I dont Like Thomann.
Tom.

I have used them quite a bit and they have never let me down, a whole PA system was sent to me in 2 days, and when I found that one of the speaker stands was broke they just sent me a new pair, without even bothering to collect the broke stand. The only downside is that there customer service is a bit crap... don't email them, phone them and keep doing it. They take ages to reply to e-mails.

But I think they are a great company, their prices are definately good and they are speedy to deliver personally.

The phones can be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes you'll wait hours and never get through to anyone and other times it'll be picked up straight away. Almost every issue I've had has been resolved very quickly, and in general they're not bad to do business with, but they possibly have a lower customer satisfaction than some more expensive suppliers, but as has been mentioned before, you get what you pay for.

Same views as Bencouchtechie to be honest.

Great in some ways, lacking a bit on the customer service/support side. Though to be fair, I've had to ring them about a couple of items and only once was it more than just a simple phone conversation to resolve it.

At their prices.. I can live with a few bad experiences :)

I've had nothing but good experiences with them. Contacted them via phone and email a few times and they have sorted out any problems pretty much straight away. They even managed to sort out my ineptness when it comes to bank transfers and my clients when it comes to, well, everything.

Bought some items from them a few weeks back. No problems, well packaged and delivered within 3 days.

I must have spent thousands with Thomann over the last 7 years. I have recently ordered some stuff that I have only found on their website, and it was here within 3 days. I did have an amp with a bad transformer inside that started to melt. I was asked to send back the damaged unit, and within a week of the amp going bad, the replacement was installed.

Put me down as another happy customer :o

My only complaint would be that my email asking for a quote for a custom case went unanswered :( But then four or five other companies didn't bother to quote for that one either :)

I didn't think Thomann were in the business of custom cases - my impression is that their forte is turning over a vast quantity of off-the-shelf items at knock-down prices.

If you're looking for a custom flightcase, I can recommend Amptown. We use them at work for all of our flightcase needs, and they're very good.

I've bought a lot of very cheap lanterns from them. As others have said you get what you pay for and I wouldn't want to put them into a professional environment. However they are fine for AmDram. I've always had good service. My one gripe is they only sell 230V lamps, which seem to have a very short life running on 240V.

But they are!

Actually reading that again, maybe they're not, it's not that clear. However they did not reply to my email or phone me.
