GENERAL
The Blue Room is a discussion forum, set up for the purposes of discussing
issues related to life and work 'behind the scenes' in the Entertainments Industry.
The Blue Room does not allow any illegal activities. The Blue Room is not
responsible for anything you say in the forums, or for any consequences that
arise from what you say. If you break the law, you alone will be responsible
for the consequences. You may not use The Blue Room to publish, post, distribute,
or disseminate defamatory, infringing, obscene, sexual, or other unlawful material,
images, text, or information.
You may not use The Blue Room services for discussions relating to illegal
purposes or for the purpose of linking to external sites that violate these
Terms and Conditions.
Please do not post links to any materials (including software and other information)
that could harm (or is designed to harm) other users' computers or would allow
others to inappropriately access software or Web sites.
USER NAMES AND AVATARS
Please choose an appropriate user name and avatar. The Blue Room reserves
the right to remove any user name or avatar it deems inappropriate for any reason.
Inappropriate Blue Room user names or avatars may include those that in any
way look like, sound like, stand for, hint at, abbreviate, insinuate or imply
any of the following: profanity, sexual content (including but not limited to
explicit language, sexual innuendo, sexual content, negative, disparaging or
harmful references to sexual preferences), slurs (including but not limited
to racial, ethnic, or religious slurs), or illegal activities.
User names and avatars that make reference to controversial religious or
political topics, infamous or notorious people or organizations, or sensitive
current or historical events may also be considered inappropriate, whether they
do so directly, indirectly or by implication.
PROFILE INFORMATION
Please ensure all the information contained within your Blue Room profile
is correct and up to date. Specifically, your name, geographical location and
year of birth are mandatory in order to verify your identity, these details
are visible to members and guests. Failure to provide the mandatory profile
information, or misrepresentation via misleading information in your profile,
may lead to suspension or removal of your account. In special circumstances,
which will be decided on a case by case basis, it may be permissible for you
to use as your publically visible name a name which is not your real name. In
this case you will still have to provide the board administrators with your
real name which will be stored in the software but which will not be publically
visible.
Users claiming membership of professional organisations should note that
we may ask you to provide proof of that membership.
SIGNATURES
Your signature is provided solely as a means for you to sign off your posts.
Members should keep their signature within Usenet guidelines - that is to say,
a maximum of 4 lines of text and/or white space. A signature is not a means
of advertising goods or services, although a company name or link to a company
website is acceptable.
Fonts should be kept to the standard size for the forum, and image files
should not be included. The moderators reserve the right to alter your signature
without notice if they feel it doesn't fall within these guidelines.
HARASSMENT / INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE
The Blue Room considers inappropriate language to include any language that
in any way looks like, sounds like, stands for, hints at, abbreviates, insinuates
or implies any of the following: profanity, sexual content (including but not
limited to explicit language, sexual innuendo, sexual content, or references
to sexual preferences), slurs (including but not limited to racial, ethnic,
or religious slurs), illegal drugs/controlled substances, or illegal activities.
Any "non-backstage" discussion topic that takes up a substantial
amount of thread space and prevents users from finding a discussion topic should
be carried out using the Private Message facility. Given that it is very easy
to do this, we don't expect this to be a problem.
The Blue Room reserves the right to revoke the membership of anyone who advocates
or encourages expressions of violence, bigotry, racism, hatred, or profanity.
The Blue Room does not tolerate racial, ethnic, sexual, or religious slurs.
The Blue Room does not tolerate postings that incite others to violate these
Terms and Conditions or participate in illegal activities.
Please do not use profanity or sexually explicit language in The Blue Room
or in Private Messages.
Threatening members, moderators and Blue Room staff is prohibited and may
result in immediate suspension or termination of your Blue Room membership.
If you post Web links or URLs in The Blue Room that point to content deemed
inappropriate by Blue Room moderators or staff members, you may have your The
Blue Room membership suspended or cancelled.
We encourage our members to treat each other with mutual respect. Please
do not use any of The Blue Room forums or message features to threaten, harass,
stalk, or abuse others or hack their accounts.
MISREPRESENTATION OF BLUE ROOM MEMBERS, MODERATORS OR STAFF
Impersonation of a Blue Room member, moderator, or staff member is prohibited.
Falsely representing yourself as a Blue Room moderator, or staff member may
result in immediate termination of your Blue Room membership. You may not use
your Blue Room Account to falsely represent your identity, skills or experience.
Knowingly using your account in this way is likely to result in your account
being terminated. If a member of the Blue Room staff believes that your account
has been used to misrepresent your identity in any way, e.g. via false / misleading
profile information or post content, they may suspend the account without warning,
until the issue has been resolved. If the issue cannot be solved to the satisfaction
of the Blue Room Admin & Moderation team, then the account will be terminated.
HACKING, DISRUPTIVE OR DESTRUCTIVE SOFTWARE
The Blue Room does not allow the posting of destructive software, use of
computer programs that contain destructive features, or access to any content
such as viruses, worms, Trojan horses, and other activities that may be disruptive
to online communication. Disruptive behavior, such as flaming, spamming, flooding
may lead to suspension or cancellation of your The Blue Room membership. The
Blue Room does not allow inappropriate access to Blue Room threads, Private
Messages, or any other online resources through the use of hacking programs
and/or similar methods.
ABUSING COMMUNICATION TOOLS / SPAMMING
Any "non-backstage" related conversation that takes up a substantial
amount of The Blue Room and prevents users from finding a thread should be moved
Private Messages. You are welcome to advertise, and encourage people to join
in, these discussions within the lobbies, but please be reasonable about the
frequency with which you do so.
Continuation of lengthy conversations in discussion threads may be considered
a violation of the Terms and Conditions. Given that it is so easy to move to
a Private Message and that people are welcome to announce this in the forums,
we do not expect this to be a problem.
Please avoid excessive shouting (use of all-caps) or flooding (continuous
posting of repetitive text) in The Blue Room forums or Private Messages. Flooding
is defined as any rapid or high-volume posting that interferes with other people's
ability to converse or discuss.
The Blue Room reserves the right to ban a user at any time, without notice,
from any or all areas of The Blue Room for spamming, flooding, or otherwise
abusing the communication tools.

- Make appropriate use of the other ‘commercial’ areas of the site.
- Use the 'Training and Qualifications' forum to post information on free training events for your products or services
