DAP Studio
Scenic Painters is an information resource for all those interested in Scenic Painting. I've been running the site since 2009. It contains information about many aspects of painting scenery. The site has a section about the short courses that I run from my studio. These courses are designed for those who are interested in a career in scenic painting. The link below will take you to the site where you'll find lots of information about the course, feedback from students who have taken it, and photographs of the work they produced. SCENIC PAINTERS Until now the course has run for two weeks. The first focuses on scenic finishes and the second on backdrop painting. In the Autumn I will be running the first four week course. This builds on the structure of the two week course but includes a week of scenery painting, where students will apply some of the paint finishes that they have learned to a scenery painting project. There will also be additional cloth painting projects including a pantomime cloth and a spray-gun project. The four week course will allow students more opportunity to develop their skills and produce portfolio material. More information about the four week course can be found on this page AUTUMN COURSE The course will cost £1750 including VAT. This price includes a tool kit containing the tools that you'll need for the four weeks. Please get in touch if you'd like any more information Best RegardsJames Rowse
