Hi Guys and girls,

I'm an onsite service engineer that looks after about 300 rooms of kit! I've been looking at the new Casio XJ M155 Lazer/LED projector to start replacing our tired old proj's.

I've had one here on demo for a week and it all seems great, but don't want to commit to buying 100's of them without looking more into it. I know they're fairly new but has anyone had one for a while and let me know how they've gone?
cheers :)

We've been installing the XJ-A's and now the XJ-M's the M's are an improvement, with reduced noise due to larger fans and heat, as a result we have had a far lower failure rate due to the heat issues experienced on the A's. If there is an issue however Casio service are brilliant! I have no issue recommending the Casio XJ's.
If it aint broke, don't fix it, just rip it apart and see how it works!

HI
I've replaced all the projectors in my college with Casio XJ-S and A's (50+). they are excellent and have a great lens varient, as a result I have not had to move any project mountings just change the project bracket.

Highly recommend

PJ

just out of interest, what issues did you have with failure? were they just overheating?

Over heating can be avoided if you vaccum out the vents all around the units every so often, especially the air intake, here at the college we go around every holiday and this seems to over come any overheating problems.

I've just bought 4 of them to start with, first one went up yesterday - they look so nice in situ and the image is a million times better than the epson it's replaced. can't wait to get the others up :)
