Background

 

Avolites Ltd is a leading company in the manufacture of lighting control solutions for the entertainment industry. Our equipment is used in world music tours, films, theatre, museums and other projects which involve a leading lighting control solution.

 

We are seeking a console support engineer to join the London based support team.

 

Role

• Provide customer and distributor support for the Avolites console range of products.

• Handle customer support queries over phone, email or social media

• Create support documentation accurately and to the provided specification.

• Create support tickets, with detailed and accurate information about a customer’s query

• Follow up on support cases, ensuring all tickets are responded to quickly and to the satisfaction of our customers.

• Answer technical queries related to the products we develop

• Carry out investigation into support cases and create reports of your findings

• Handle the publishing of support information on our website and carry out updates as required.

• Report software bugs to the software department and assist in fixing those bugs.

Skills

• Experience in the entertainment industry and with the Avolites products is required.

• Communication skills are essential as a successful candidate will be expected to directly deal with our customers.

• Methodical approach to problem solving.

• Good at documenting and recording information presented through different forms.

• Should be accurate in tasks they undertake.

• Basic knowledge/understanding of IT systems and the ability to provide help and support in this area.
