  1. Could do but I am having problems and want to simplify things as much as posible by replacing the insduatrial lighting software with something verry simple. Actualy planing on getting a simple 6 way hardware dimmer but simple software would be nice. Also the patching in Lightfactory is a bit broke in current version and no one will tell me where old versions are. Ben
  2. Hi. I am testing a LED RGB fixture home with a ultraDMX Micro and Lightfactory. I am using a laptop with an external monitor plugged in. When I connect the DMX cable between the ultraDMX and the fixture the external monitor goes blank. When I unplug it it comes back. This happens regardless of whether lightfactory is running. I've rebooted and turned everything off and back on and still the same results. Any ideas? Ben
  3. Hi, I am trying out a new RGBW and am having some problems geting it working. One things that would help is some simple software to allow me to easily set DMX values for testing purposes. Prefereby free. I did have something years ago but cant remember/find it. All I want to to be bleto show DMX values for 16 channels and change these values without havingto define a fixture profile. Something similer to an old style 12 channel desk. I have a DMXKIng ultraDMX Micro and am currently uing it with Lightfactory. Ben
  4. Thanks for everyone's replies. The ADJ do the 6-colour RGBAW+UV units at £67 seem a bit too good to be true if I have the correct ones - https://www.thomann.de/gb/adj_mega_hex_par_rgbaw_uv.htm. Not seen anything this cheap with A, let alone RGBAW+UV. My feeling with the wattage and so may colour they won't be very powerful. The Storm Prolights StudioCOBplus look good but can't find a price. We IP65 is also not relevant to us but probably pushes up the build quality (and price). Should also mention we want something fairly quiet as we use them for theatre. Build quality and availability or spares/serviceability adherence to UK standards are all big consideration. Was wondering if people could share there experience on this front from various companies. Anyone got any experience of Cameo Studio PAR 18 x 8W RGBA (https://www.thomann.de/gb/cameo_studio_par_18_x_8w_rgba.htm). Cant even find out where the company is based but as thomann.de sell them this seems a good sign (I think).
  5. thinkgthe title kind of says it all. Seen lots of cheap LED PAR around £90 and expensive ones around the £700 mark but was wondring if there were any good mid price ones? We will be suing them with tungstons so not big deal if they are not briliant at doing straw. Ben
  6. Yesterday the DMXKing ultraDMX MicroUSB interface died. No biggie as its the LF25 version so not too expensive but wondering if I can get a replacement cheaper, anyway that's a side question. My main concern is I have another ultraDMX Micro will a licence for a full universe which is $500, The licence is on the 'dongle'. I'm now worried about what happens if the dongle dies. Do I lose the licence? I did ask something simeleron there forum and got no response. So how do I best protect the licence? Ben
  7. You still got any prelude irises for sale, I know it was a while ago.
  8. Thanks for the offer. We got the desk fixed (not the sliders but other stuff) but its gone wrong again. Has yours had the DMX mod. If so would be great to have it. It would be going to a good home, The Cube Microplex, which is a volunteer run cinema and performance space (http://www.cubecinema.com). Can you please email me on bene@cubecinema.com. Thanks again, Ben
