Also are you able to connect two together and use only one receiver? Many Thanks Matt
musht
I.R. extender, either RF or wires, 70m is big ask for I.R. http://cpc.farnell.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?catalogId=15002&langId=69&storeId=10180&categoryId=700000007674&sort=P_PRICE&st=remote%20extender&pageSize=25&showResults=true
mattlad564
Yeah, I thought that 70m was a bit much for I.R. as well but thats what the hire guy said. How can I extend the range?
musht
How can I extend the range? above link to CPC, remote extenders , I.R. reciever box at control end, linked either via RF, probably 433Mhz or cable link to repeater box which has I.R, LED pointed at original reciever. They are intended for remote extensions from bedroom TV`s from lounge AV sources.

Don Allen
To get them to reach further, you are have to reduce the other sources of IR in the room, which is a not very practical for a venue. You could look at the path from your IR transmitter to the receiver, maybe move the receiver up high, but an IR repeater is more reliable and practical. The hire shop should carry them unless they are very optimistic people.
mattlad564
Okay. Thanks for all the replies guys. Think we're going to have to get the receivers higher and see if that helps and if not someone will have to sit near the front and control them
