  1. Your C391B's will do the job just fine, make sure you get them as close as possible to the instruments to limit the amount of gain you need to apply - this will help cut down on the unwanted spill they pick up from whatever is happening onstage and in the wings!
  2. +1 - I did this for my wife's Grandad when he got a new TV, under a tenner on amazon for a converter and a spare Toslink cable form the garage and he was back to watching fishing TV 24/7!!
  3. The original show files were created using Edit v4. The issue persists across various show saves on different USB devices using both the desk and the Edit software. It's a simple enough fix to import the snippets individually to the correct snippet slots (it is only the snippets that are at issue, scenes; cues; processing and routing are all fine); just a bit laborious for a fix on a "flagship" firmware/software release that must have been tested to destruction before release.... <_<
  4. I'm not a Facebook user I'm afraid. I have tracked down a Music Tribe community thread in which a user was having issues with a "file not loading" error after using the new backup & restore function for saving shows - it seems Music Group have identified an issue with the snippets loading which they will fix in the next update..... ... not particularly handy if I have to restore the Panto before then!!! I did test out using Backup/Restore functions from the setup menu, rather than exporting from the Cues menu, to try and replicate the problem, which I did!! But not before I checked and all my snippets were there, until I loaded the first cue and then the last saved snippet disappeared and all the other snippets reverted to having the following snippets status stored in them?!?!?! <edit - spelling!>
  5. Hey folks, I have a peculiar issue after updating to v4: When loading a show into the desk, which was created using X32 edit, there is an apparent loading error and error message on screen stating "file not found" just before the show loading is complete. The show has actually loaded, including scenes, channel and bus settings and a snippet list, however the snippets contain information which is one slot out - for example, snippet 00 is should be all channels muted and snippet 01 is channel 16 unmuted, but snippet 00 will be the settings for snippet 01. This continues all the way through the snippets with every snippet slot labelled as it should be but containing the settings from the snippet immediately after on the original file. I have imported the snippets into the correct slots manually and fixed this, but if I then export the show from the desk onto a separate USB drive and load it back into X32 edit, the same issue persists. I can't find anything on the music tribe or prosoundweb forums; has anyone else experienced anything like this?
  6. You were a very lucky boy then... for one reason or another....
