  1. Hello, Rob. When you see Andy please say hello to him too. Been out of the business for a few years now but it's odd to think how long ago I first worked with you both...
  2. As a former Chief Electrician of the Strand Theatre in London I still get pangs when hearing about how Strand has melted into the void... (I can't find my forum log-in details now so posting this way..)
  3. For many years I was a link in the chain of Chief Electricians of the Strand Theatre in London. I've been out of the business for 5 years now but still get pangs thinking what happened to the company founded by my predecessor. We had a show there in 2009 driven by a Palette VL (from memory). The software was buggy and inconsistent and we had so many missed cues due to the desk not reading the Go button reliably that we spent hours swearing at it.
  4. Probably connected with where the lx desk was sited when the outlets were last numbered. SL>SR makes perfect sense when the desk is in the wings, but highly confusing when it's out-front. Outlet numbering order never mattered in the many years I was in the business as everything was soft patched as a matter of course anyway.
