Hampstead Theatre seeks a Deputy Chief Electrician on a permanent contract to join its busy production department from this autumn season onwards. This is an exciting time to work at Hampstead Theatre and be a part of Edward Hall’s first season as Artistic Director.

The Deputy Chief Electrician supports the Chief Electrician in delivering the lighting, sound and AV aspects of Hampstead Theatre productions to the highest standard.

Innovation Productions Ltd are looking for a sound engineer to head the audio department of our operation. Based from our Yorkshire Based Warehouse and offices, the role will be responsible for the management, installation, operation, promotion and maintenance of all audio our equipment. The role will also involve consulting and design of client systems for sale and installation, as well as hire systems for events. Operation on key events will be required as well as management and supervision of hire technicians and freelance staff. The applicant will need to have an extremely strong technical and operational knowledge of all aspects of a sound system and the rigging of such, with experience of both standard and line array speaker systems, digital mixing consoles and speaker management systems. A good level of electronics skills would be an advantage as well as good soldering skills. Liaising with clients will be strongly involved in the role as such good communication skills and a neat presentation are essential.

Traveling will form part of the role, as such a passport and clean driving license would be essential. Also licenses for vehicles of 7.5 ton and above as well as for access equipment would be advantageous.

Most of all the applicant needs to be able to be friendly, enjoy a good laugh and fit in with the usual witty banter amongst co-workers.
